This story was played/happened in a certain country which is not England. Furthermore, it happened in the morning where it was mentioned in the very first sentence of the story. Also,it took place on the school holiday.It includes the beach which was mentioned to be a crowded one. The sea which the english boy uses to swim and also where the tunnel is. There is also mentioned a shop in which Jerry and his mom bought swimming goggles. Jerry`s house is also part of the setting because Jerry`s room was mentioned that Jerry flung himself and slept on his bed.

The story is about the English boy named Jerry and his mom who went on vacation at a certain country. Jerry is his mother`s only child. He is only 11 years and he is a good swimmer. He and his mom usually go for swimming and sun burning at bay and crowded beach. Through his swimming in an out of the sea Jerry met some men who can swim and dive for more than he does. This triggers him to learn and practice more. One day while swimming Jerry encounter a tunnel which he figures out that he can only finish it if could stay under water for more than 2 minutes. Through his practises he got dizzy and fever that he ignores to acomplish his mission of going through the tunnel. One day his dream came true and he was completely filled with victory as he finally get through the tunnel. He busts this in her mother`s ears and she was not that happy with it. He was ought to swim no more from that day.
Question 3:
The main characters in the story are Jerry and his mom. Jerry is the protagonist as he is very well stated in the story from the beggining to the end. He practised and loved swimming. He went through the tunnel which he was happy about. He seems to be a very smart and careful child as he always makes sure he check if his mom is still around and didn`t left him behind. Jerry`s mom is an antagonist. At first she seems not to care about Jerry`s swim. She then didn`t let him swim after he has completed his victory of going through the tunnel.
